This page highlights some simple trailer types and payloads. There are 100s of trailer manufactures and varying degrees of manufacture quality. Some 1500lb payload trailers look similar to a trailer that can handle 3000lbs. Therefore, please proceed with caution when you cannot find your specific trailer specifications.
Commonly Purchased BIG BOX Store Trailer
Here is a typical BIG BOX trailer type. Notice the payload is about 1500lbs - which is more or less 24 boxes of tile or 350-400 sqft. The wheels and axis are rated for a simple light load. You could get a full pallet by loading 8-10 boxes in your SUV and the remaining pallet loaded via the forklift.
WARNING - LOADING ISSUES
END/TAIL GATES
Trailers that have drop-down tailgates are limited in forklift loading. We cannot drive on your tailgate. Therefore, we will be limited in how far forward we can get your pallet of tile with tailgates that cannot be removed.
SIDE GUARD RAILS
If your side guard rails are fixed and not removable, it is not possible to load pallets from the side. We can however, load 2 empty pallets inside your trailer and stack your tile purchase on these pallets. This allows us to lift our forks from the load. You are responsible for tying and securing your load. We will happily provide up to two empty pallets. If your situation requires more pallets, there may be a small charge.
TIE-DOWNS
Please bring proper tiedowns. We are not responsible for tying nor securing your load.
