Over 50 pallets of large format tiles in-stock. About 25,000sqft of various types. The majority of the selection is porcelain marble – polished and honed.
The majority of sizes are 30″ x 30″ and 24″ x 48″. There is a select amount of 30″ x 60″ and 48” x 48” which is sold by crate or pallet only. In the case of the 30×60 & 48×48 tiles, we just sell the tile in whatever closeout quantity we received due to the complexity of the size and loading issues. The quantity of 30×60 & 48×48 may be 200-800sqft per pallet/crate. We will not hand load and you must bring a truck for forklift loading only.
The 30×30 and 24×48 are sold a little different. We offer pallet sales and box sales. The best deal will be pallet sales of 200-500sqft. This is the easiest for both parities. The boxes are rather large and weigh over 100lbs. The larger tiles are premium and can retail over $10 sqft. Our prices start at 99 cents sqft and increase from there. Polished tile cost more than honed. We are not posting the prices or the selection due to the limited quantity. You just have to come and tour the selection on large format tiles.
Big tiles are for a select group of customers who understand the increased trouble in installation and cost. You inherently have a greater amount of waste due to the nature in size. Damage or imperfect tiles remove 6-8sqft per piece versus 1-2sqft in smaller tiles. This means you will cull more and the concept of reviewing all tile before starting is of greater importance. Also, do not purchase the large tiles without consulting your tile installer. They may want to charge more or refuse to install. We have a strict no refund policy.
Notes on 30” x 60” and 48” x 48” tiles. This is 12.5sqft and 16sqft per piece. This is a lot of sqft in a single piece of tile. We do not give credit or refunds on tiles that are imperfect. This is the particularly tough part of doing a large format tile installation. If you think you need 20% extra on large-format tile, then move along and forget this idea. You clearly are not experienced enough to deal with the complex installation nature of estimating, installing, or planning a large format job.
There is no sugar-coating here – this is a tough install job for the installation team. I am saying team because 1 person cannot lay a large-format tile. Extreme Caution and Planning should be considered when thinking of doing a large-format tile job. You’re crazy to even consider this tile anyway. But, for the crazy ones, sometimes go the rewards.
